080 Barcelona Fashion first came about back in July 2007. Its aim is to provide a platform to increase the
visibility of independent designers and to become a point of reference for cutting-edge design and fashion
on an international level. The driving forces behind 080 Barcelona Fashion are creativity and innovation,
without forgetting the importance of the market and the need to provide a commercial outlet for fashion.
Since the presentation of the first show, 080 Barcelona Fashion has been getting bigger and bigger. It was
consolidated as the Catwalk Show for new Catalan and international trends in the three following editions.
The fourth edition, which takes place on 2, 3 and 4 September, has focused on increasing the commercial scope
of 080 Barcelona Fashion.
For 2010 it has already been suggested that 080 Barcelona Fashion will be joining forces with The Brandery
to provide an even larger platform to the international market.
The Brandery - 07, 08, 09 Julio 2009. Post Fashion Circus, Barcelona Spain
The new platform for business and communication.
The Brandery, the big new fashion rendezvous for Southern Europe, was created to come up with a new identity for fashion based on the brand being the protagonist.
Post Fashion Circus: The brand and the individual.
The fashion trade show in Barcelona is setting its sights on the present, but more importantly, the future.
A new paradigm of transgression, design and innovation to project brand value as a totally individual and
differentiating concept.
Made in Barcelona: A universe of talent and culture open to the world.
The Brandery is more than just another fashion trade show. It's a 'made in Barcelona' event and has been
designed with Barcelona in mind. One of the most modern, cosmopolitan and dynamic cities when it comes to
setting trends in Europe.
The Fira:
The exhibition area of The Brandery. This is the place to be, where the brands are able to showcase their
freshest ideas to industry professionals, retailers and diistibuitors. The exhibition area is divided into
4 themed areas:
The Cathedral - This is the space for designer led fashion featuring full collections with their own style
that go above and beyond what the market dictates.
The Loft - For collections that may or may not have a named designer behind them. These collections have a
very specific appeal that is a long way from 'pret a porter'.
The Warehouse - A showcase area for all brands that utilise denim as the common denominator as the key trend.
The OuterSpace - Divided into 3 specific zones:
'Sneaker Show Basmatics': focusing on the latest sports trainers and leisure shoes.
(The Brandery held an exhibition of the largest sports shoe collection in the world, a real gem for sneaker fans
with 700 different models on show, including the Nike Air Jordan Collection, signed by Tinker Hatfield, Nike’s
leading designer; the Adidas Americana (1975-1976); the Nike Hawaii, created for the 1984 Hawaii marathon; the
1960 Converse Chuck Taylor and the Nike Metallic Air Jordan, all sneakers that have become legends of the fashion
world).
'Week After': for up and coming new brands.
'Street': for the top Urban Fashion brands that are already
on the scene.
Brandtown: The entertainment zone with bars, restaurants and relaxation areas. The chill out zone
of the trade show.
Laundry: A laboratory of ideas. An area of creation and innovation, of debates and discussions
for peolple from all areas of the fashion industry.
The City: For the events, new launches and parties associated with The Brandery.
